We're Having A....

Just returned from the doctor's office and found out the baby's gender! My appointment was at 10am but I didn't get seen until after 11 so you know my nerves were going CRAZY. I had a feeling I knew what it would be, sometimes you can just feel it and I was right.....

My husband and son literally high-fived each other much to the nurse's amusement, LOL! I'm so so very excited and can't wait to be surrounded by all my guys as the only lady in the house....

Have a great weekend everyone!! XoXo

Blue or Pink?

Today marks 20 weeks pregnant which means I am FINALLY at the halfway point. It also means that I can find out the gender of the baby (yay!!). My appointment is tomorrow morning and I just know I won't be able to sleep. I'm so nervous to find out the gender and have been counting down the days since I found out that I was pregnant! My mom says I should just let it be a surprise and find out when I deliver. No way! Once I find out if it's a boy or girl, I'm going shopping ASAP to pick out some cute baby outfits!

My hubby of course wants a boy, I of course want a girl, and Jordan just wants someone he can play Power Rangers with. But I honestly will be happy with either gender because a healthy baby is of utmost importance to me...

I'll let you know tomorrow...

What do you predict? BOY or GIRL???

I'm Loving.... Maxi Dresses

I've been trying desperately to avoid shopping for "maternity clothes" because a lot of them are too maternity-ish (is that a word?) Anyway, one of my absolute favorite sites on earth to shop is ASOS.com and I found that they have a ton of the cutest clothes for pregnancy!! It's a good thing that my pregancy is during the summer because I literally wear maxi dresses ALL THE TIME. I've purchased an obscene amount of maxi dresses because it is honestly the easiest outfit to put together. Right now I'm five months preggo and the absolute last thing I have is energy to get dressed. (If wearing pajamas in public was socially acceptable, you would see me in my Hello Kitty pjs walking around the mall with no shame!). But instead, all I do is throw on some cute accessories with a maxi dress and I am out the door in 10 minutes! My cousin, above in orange, is a fan of the maxi too, and we showed up to a recent family BBQ wearing practically the same dress! Ha!

I also favor this style of dress during pregnancy because I LOVE showing off my baby bump any chance I get! :)

Here are some of my favorite maxi dresses from ASOS.com....I am obsessed with this site!!!

ASOS Maternity Midi Dress in Wide Stripe, $36.45.

ASOS Maternity Maxi Dress in Leopard Print, $49.71.
ASOS Maternity Exclusive Maxi Dress in Floral, $82.85.
ASOS Maternity Exclusive Bandeau Dress in Print, $82.85.
ASOS Maternity Maxi Dress in Stretch Fabric, $33.14.
ASOS Maternity Midi Dress in Wide Stripe, $36.45.
ASOS Maternity Exclusive One Shoulder Maxi Dress, $74.57.
ASOS Maternity Grecian Maxi Dress with Side Split, $58.00.
ASOS Maternity Maxi Dress in Jersey with Grecian Detail, $74.57.

Currently Craving...

I'd have to say one of the strangest things about pregnancy are the weird cravings that come along with it. While I'm not longing for pickles and ice cream, I have had a few really strong cravings. My hubby knows to keep the house stocked with certain things and he's been really good at making late night runs to satisfy my spur of the moment wants like jerk chicken, cheesecake, McDonald's smoothies, and cheddar broccoli soup form Panera Bread. Although, he once forgot to pick up ginger ale when I was dying for it and I just about lost my mind. "HOW COULD YOU FORGET THE GINGER ALE??!!! (I blamed that little episode on my hormones, lol.)

Oddly enough, certain foods that I just LOVED, like ice cream, are now the last thing on earth my stomach can tolerate. And when I say I loved ice cream...I mean loved. Especially Coldstone Creamery where they basically knew my name and ice cream order as soon as I walked through the door. Now the thought of ice cream makes me nauseous. I can't even look at the stuff. Weird right?? And foods that I absolutely hated, are now things I can't live without...like eggs. Hated eggs to the point where I couldn't be in the kitchen if someone was cooking or eating eggs!! And now, of course, I have eggs for breakfast practically everyday. Crazy!

But I have to say that a few of my cravings have been really healthy ones. I guess my body is forcing me to eat healthy, lol. Because now, all I want are fruits, fruits, and more fruits. I keep the fridge stocked with organic fruits like strawberries, peaches, plums, grapes, and pineapples from Trader Joe's and just cannot get enough. Another surprising craving is soup. And I was never even a big soup person. Chicken noodle soup is now a staple in my house. It is super salty, so I try not to eat it too much, but its soooo delicious.

Here are a couple must-haves....

Have you had any pregnancy cravings or heard of any really crazy ones??
