Pregnancy update: So I'm about 16 weeks along and the morning sickness is FINALLY starting to wear off! Finally! I've tried all kinds of teas, ginger candies, soups...everything...and nothing worked so I'm glad it's going away on it's own. I wasn't sick like this AT ALL with my first pregnancy so it's a little crazy. But they say every pregnancy is different so what can you do? Lol. ;)

Mellow Yellow.
The weather today in NYC is nuts!! We had a severe thunderstorm with lighting and thunder like I've never seen or heard in my life, lol. And they said to even expect some hail! Hail?? Anyway, I passed the time doing my nails in this bright sunshine yellow despite the craziness outside my window. It's one of my favorite summer colors, "Hard Lemonade" by Sally Hansen.

Oh Baby!
Well, well, well...BIG news to announce. Baby #2 is on the way!!! And I couldn't be more excited! I haven't been posting to the blog often because this morning sickness has been kicking my butt! I'm not even kidding, lol. Since this site is called "Beauty and A Baby", it only makes sense that I share the stages of the pregnancy with you guys. :) I'm going to try to post as often as I can, and update with pictures but I tell ya, morning sickness is no joke so I can't promise posts everyday, lol. And I don't even know why they call it "morning sickness" because of course for me it lasts from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, sigh. I think Jordan is more excited than anyone. He keeps talking to my stomach and promising to teach the baby how to play Power Rangers. (FYI: he's rooting for a brother.) I don't have a preference if it's a boy or girl, just a healthy baby! I'm about 3 months along and due in December so this is going to be a long summer of waiting and waiting... Below is the first sonogram...cute, right? ;) XoXo

I'm Back...
Hi guys, it's been awhile...I know, I know. A lot has been going on in the past few months ( all great things!!), so I haven't had the time to devote to writing blog posts. I turned 30 years old at the end of May (yay!) and celebrated with an all-girls trip to New Orleans! It was also Memorial Day weekend so I knew we'd have TONS of things to do. And since I've never been there before, I couldn't wait to see what the city had to offer. We got to go on a swamp tour to see some alligators VERY up close and personal...and I even got to hold one! Don't believe me, check out the photo below. Ok, ok it's a baby alligator, but still... And did you know alligators liked marshmallows?! I didn't, but boy oh boy did they swarm our boat when the tour guide offered them marshmallows!! We also walked around the French Quarter and Bourbon Street - famous for Mardi Gras - and it seemed like people were already, ummm, drunk at 11 in the morning! I'm not judging, I'm just saying...lol. Oh and we stayed at the super fancy W Hotel, which was beyond AMAZING! This was truly a great birthday getaway!
In addition to all the sightseeing, what I was really looking forward to was ALL THE FOOD! ... Omg SO delicious! We had beignets at the famous Cafe du Monde, HUGE bacon and egg biscuits and creole shrimp omlettes with grits at Mother's Restaurant, Parmesan crusted fish topped with crab meat at GW Fins...the list goes on and on. As if that wasn't enough, we took a food tour around the French Quarter where I tried gumbo for the first time. I must've gained like 20 pounds in two days, lol.
It was my first time in New Orleans, but definitely not my last! I've been looking forward to turning 30 and I feel like my 30s are going to be fantastic! I have some super exciting news to announce tomorrow! So don't forget to check back in! XoXo
