Getting Ready for the Baby Shower!

I'm so excited because my baby shower is fast approaching and all the planning is finally almost over. We're going with a "Ready to Pop!" theme because, let's face it, I look like I swallowed a beach ball and I'm so ready to have this baby! I Googled the "Ready To Pop" baby shower idea months ago and other mommas-to-be have come up with the cutest ideas!! I didn't realize how much you can really roll with that "pop" theme. Cake pops, popcorn stations, candy stations with Blow Pops, Tootsie Pops, Pop Rocks, Rig Pops...you get the idea. My cousin and I took Jordan to this amazing candy store, Economy Candy, here in NYC and we maybe had a bit too much fun picking out treats for the baby shower. That store has EVERY retro candy you can imagine!! We had so  much fun!

 

The color scheme for the shower is blue, green, and yellow polka dots. (I have a slight obsession with polka dots, lol.) And here's the invite I had made by the lovely Alexia of Noir Style Invites:

I'm a HUGE popcorn person so we're definitely having a popcorn station!

 

 

 

And you can't go wrong with a candy/dessert station too! Who doesn't love candy??

 

 

Here we are in the candy store. We went a bit crazy in there!!

 

So we ended up getting a TON of candy...Pixi Stix, Pop Rocks, Tootsie Pops, Candy Buttons, Sour Power, Gumballs, Caramel Squares, Nik L Nip, Jolly Ranchers, Gummy Rings, Lemon Heads, Bubble Tape, Ring Pops... whew!!

 

 

In addition to all this candy, my mom and aunts are going all out with the menu!! Good food with family and friends to celebrate the arrival of my little guy...I can't wait!
