Last year lots of designers were showing off a hot trend for their Spring/Summer 2012 collection-neon makeup! And while you probably won't catch me wearing electric blue or green lipstick anytime soon, I love these hot pink and orange shades from Bobbi Brown's new Neon and Nudes Collection. Bobbi is known mostly for her classic and natural makeup looks but she's introduced some shocking shades that surprisingly are flattering on virtually every skin tone. If you're not brave enough to swipe on some orange lipstick, the glosses are subtle enough to add just a hint of color to your lips. The trick to neon makeup is of course focusing the color to one area. If you're going to do a bright shadow then your lips should be nude and vice versa. Check out the lovely blogger Keiko Lynn, below, wearing a beautful neon green eyeshadow with a nude lip (gorgeous!). She gives an easy step by step tutorial here.

ReplyDeleteI used to wear neon on my eyes in my 20's. Now? Need some courage. But those tangerine lips sure do look tempting.
